Reiman at 6:00 P.M.,Thursday, October 15, 2015, Council Chambers, Memorial Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey. The meeting was opened with a minute of silent prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman. The Clerk stated that on January 5, 2015, the 2015 Annual Notice was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and posted on the Bulletin Board. Javier Diaz Mayor Reiman told Javier that he had transferred over a while ago but somehow he feel through the cracks and the other officers being sworn in today are being hired off of the Civil Service List. He explained we have other officers in the academy and we will continue to hire off of the Civil List as well as Intergovernmental Transfers. He said each of the officers represent a very diverse town that is growing and over the years have interviewed each of them and watched them go through the academy and graduate and look forward to a successful career as police officer with their primary goal of protecting the citizens of our town.
