A Regular Meeting of the Mayor and Council of the Borough of
Carteret was called to order by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman at 6:00
P.M.,Thursday, October 15, 2015, Council Chambers, Memorial
Municipal Building, 61 Cooke Avenue, Carteret, New Jersey.
Upon Individual Roll Call Vote the Following Were Noted Present:
Councilmembers Vincent Bellino
Dennis DiMascio
" Randy Krum
Susan Naples
Noted Absent were Councilmembers Diaz and Sitarz.
Also noted present was Kathleen M. Barney, Municipal Clerk and
Robert J. Bergen, Law Director.
The meeting was opened with a minute of silent prayer and the
Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Daniel J. Reiman.
The Clerk stated that on January 5, 2015, the 2015 Annual Notice
was mailed to The Home News Tribune, The Star Ledger and
posted on the Bulletin Board. Notice was published in The Home
News Tribune on January 7, 2015 and the Star Ledger on January
8, 2015.

on street cleaning.

present, the Mayor declared the Public Hearing to be open.
Mayor Reiman explained this is the industrial area along Phyor Rem
Roosevelt and Lafayette. It is part of a Redevelopment Study.
There were no questions or comments from the public.
There being no comments or objections to the Ordinance, the Public H arirg Closed
Mayor declared the Public Hearing to be closed upon MMS &C by
Councilmembers Krum and Bellino and unanimous affirmative
vote of the four (4) Councilmembers present.

Police Officers
Mayor Reiman asked Javier Diaz to come forward.
Javier Diaz Mayor Reiman told Javier that he had transferred over a while ago
but somehow he feel through the cracks and the other officers
being sworn in today are being hired off of the Civil Service List.
Jae. Diaz Mayor Reiman then swore in Javier Diaz, Joseph Reiman, Isaiah
Joseph Reiflm, Rodriquez, Derick Clavio and Christopher Dobrowolski as Police

He then congratulated the officers that were sworn in today. He
explained we have other officers in the academy and we will
continue to hire off of the Civil List as well as Intergovernmental
Transfers. He said each of the officers represent a very diverse
town that is growing and over the years have interviewed each of
them and watched them go through the academy and graduate
and look forward to a successful career as police officer with their
primary goal of protecting the citizens of our town. He said we
have a great department and following the meeting there will be
light refreshments in the Council Room.
