RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY
OF MIDDLESEX AMENDING RESOLUTION NO, 14 -224 ADOPTED ON
NOVEMBER 6, 2014
R'HEREAS, on November 6, 2014, the Borough adopted Resolution No. 14 -224
conditionally designating HC Redevelopment, LLC ( "HC "), an affiliate of Hampshire Real
Estate Companies, as the redeveloper of a portion of the Federal Boulevard Redevelopment
Area, Phase I consisting of Block 2802, Lots 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 under the New Jersey Local
Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A. 40Aa2A -1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, the Borough desires to amend Resolution No_ 14 -224 to extend HC's
conditional designation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the 'Mayor and
Council of Borough of Carteret, in the County of Middlesex and the State of New Jersev. as
Section 1. The aforementioned recitals are incorporated herein as though frilly set
forth at length.
Section 2. Section 2 of Resolution No. 14 -224 is hereby deleted and replaced in its
entirety with the following:
! "The within designation and the designation of HC as the redeveloper for the Initial Project Site
is hereby made for a limited period of time, expiring on March 31, 2016, unless the Borough and
HC execute a redevelopment agreement prior to that date, and is further contingent upon HC
;providing any additional project related inforivation as may be requested by the Borough."
