RESOLUTION DEDICATING FIELD
WHEREAS, Philip E. Reibis v, as an active member of the Little Carteret League
tbr over thirty (30) years, during which he held numerous positions; and
WHEREAS, Philip E. Reibis throughout his involvement with the Little Carteret
League was selflessly devoted to the children of Carteret and the game of baseball;
and
WHEREAS, Philip E. Reibis through his caring and commitment has touched the
lives of hundreds of Carteret's youth: and
WHEREAS, Philip E. Reibis has inspired many others to participate in the Little
Carteret League; and
WHEREAS, Philip E. Reibis while still actively involved in coaching, died in May,
1999; and
WHEREAS, Philip E. Reibis has made Carteret a better place; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret wish to honor the
memo~7 and contributions of Philip E. Reibis.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that hereinafter the field now' known as "Grant Avenue Field"
shall be known and referred to as the
'PHILIP E. REIBIS MEMORIAL FIELD"
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
Adopted this 3rd day of June, 1999
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 4, 1999.
