A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
APPROVING STOP SIGN INSTALLATION AND NECESSARY PAVEMENT
MARKINGS ON LOS FLORES BOULEVARD AND STATE STREET
WHEREAS, Lincoln Elementary is located at the northwest corner of Los
Flores Boulevard and State Street; and
WHEREAS, "Yield" signs were located on east bound and west bound
Los Flores Boulevard and State Street; and
WHEREAS, a designated school crosswalk is located on the west side of
State Street at Los Flores Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, a request to consider installation of stop signs was received
by Public Works; and
WHEREAS, staff field checked the location and determined that the
installation of stop signs would be appropriate and should be installed as soon as
possible; and
WHEREAS, stop signs, stop legends and stop bars were installed on
eastbound Los Flores Boulevard at State Street and westbound Los Flores
Boulevard at State Street on September 23, 2013
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the
installation of stop signs, stop legends and stop bars on eastbound Los Flores
Boulevard at State Street and westbound Los Flores Boulevard at State Street
on September 23, 2013
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 1st clay of October, 2013.
