RESOLUTION NO. 2024-02-04
A RESOLUTION BY THE TOWN BOARD OF THE TOWN OF FRASER, COLORADO, TO
ENTER THE ROLE OF THE NORTHWEST TRANSPORTATION PLANNING REGION
PLANNING ASSISTANT
WHEREAS, the Northwest Transportation Planning Region (NWTPR) is responsible for
planning and prioritizing transportation priorities and projects for its region which comprises of
Grand, Jackson, Moffat, Rio Blanco, and Routt counties; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fraser is committed to engaging with the Northwest Transportation
Planning Region to enhance transportation corridors within the Fraser Valley and Grand County;
and
WHEREAS, there is an opportunity for the Town of Fraser to take on the role of NWTPR
Planning Assistant to improve and enhance coordinated efforts with the Colorado Department of
Transportation for planned improvements along the HWY 40 corridor.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE TOWN OF
FRASER, COLORADO THAT:
1. The Town of Fraser has determined its interest in pursuing the role of the Northwest
Transportation Planning Region Planning Assistant.
2. The Town of Fraser authorized the Fraser Town Manager to enter into contract with the
Colorado Department of Transportation, following Town Attorney review, for one year
beginning July 1, 2024, and each year after until the Town of Fraser determines not to
renew such annual contract via resolution.
