RESOLUTION APPROVING CONTRACT FOR
MICROBIAL ABATEMENT AND CLEANING
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret (the "Borough") has determined the need to
perform microbiaI abatement and cleaning of the first (lst) and second (2nd) floors
of the Borough Hall (the "Project"); and
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has solicited quotations in connection with the
Project; and
WHEREAS, Preferred Cleaning Solutions, Inc., Piscataway, New Jersey
("Preferred") is the lowest responsible bidder for the Project; and
WHEREAS,Preferred's quote is below the bid threshold and therefore does not
require public bidding;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that a contract for the performance of microbial abatement and
cleaning be awarded to Preferred Cleaning Solutions, Inc., Piseataway, New
Jersey not to exceed $1 !,700.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this contract is awarded without competitive
bidding in that the amount of the contract is below the bid threshold.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Borough Clerk be and hereby
authorized to execute a contract in connection with the Project on behalf of the
Borough.

and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 4, 1999.
