Special Meeting.
A special meeting of the council was called by the rZayor for the
purpose of dec' ding on the sale of the �Yater softener.
The r!Iayor Stated that he had. an offer of ?�1500.00 for pert
of the equiptment.
PZwmbars Present were- D D Hussman, J T Riekena and J Spieker.
After due considerztion of the matter the council decided to
sell the Softener for �1800.00 and instructec' the Mayor that he
could sell same at that price.
There being no further business it eras moved. to adjourn.

Pdinutes of Sept lt4eetinga were read and. on motion by Spieker,
second by J T Riekena approved. as read.
It was moved by J T Riekena that the Clerk notify the Iowa
Road building Co, and_ ask for an extention of time on thier contract
for re -surfacing streets, until next spring as soon as weather permits,
Motion seco nded by J E Riekena, - carried.
It was moved by J T Riekena second by J Spieker that the Clerk
write and ask the C R I & P Ry to put up Electric signal lights on
crossing North �Yashingtonstreet. motion carried.
The Clerk was directed to notify Henry Hippen to remove
Outside Toilet -
On motion the bill of the former Fire Dept. be tabled.
The f ollowin� bills were presented, read, considered and on motion
by J T Riekena second by Jerry Spieker ordered paid.
