RESOLUTION NO. 2024-03-05
AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR AN UPDATE TO THE TOWN OF FRASER
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN
WHEREAS, municipalities in the state of Colorado are authorized to prepare
comprehensive plans as a long-range guiding document for a community to achieve its vision
and goals; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Fraser Comprehensive Plan was last updated in 2010; and
WHEREAS, regular updates to the Comprehensive Plan are necessary to ensure that
the plan is relevant and addresses the current challenges, opportunities, and needs of the
Fraser community; and
WHEREAS, funds have been budgeted since the Town's 2022 annual budget (10-45-
370) to complete an update to the Comprehensive Plan but have remained unspent; and
WHEREAS, following a Request for Proposals (RFP) process that concluded in
February 2024, Town staff has identified Cushing Terrell as the most qualified consultant from
the seven proposals submitted to the Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
TOWN OF FRASER, COLORADO THAT:
1. The Town of Fraser Board of Trustees authorizes the Town Manager to enter into a
contract with Cushing Terrell and their subconsultants for an update to the Town of
Fraser Comprehensive Plan for an amount not to exceed $205,000.
READ, PASSED ON ROLL CALL VOTE, AND ADOPTED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES THIS
6TH DAY OF MARCH 2024.
