They whole number of alarms, four; number of fires, two—one in town and the other in Newton. The apparatus is in (rood condition, but we would recommend that the Hook and Ladder carriage be painted, and No. 1 Engine be varnished. We would also recommend that the Town purchase 250 feet of new Hose, and that they appropriate the sum of $375 00 for these objects. • The estimated expense for the Department for the ensuing year, is $800 t►t► Expenses from May 1, 1862.
