TAYLOR This is to confirm that at the meeting held by the Town Commission on July 8, 2005, your Special Exception to permit additions to an existing non - conforming structure and a Level 3 Architectural /Site Plan Review application to permit, a new front entry, two bay windows, one bow window and an addition to the existing great room, a net increase of 105 square feet and a new flat white cement tile roof and quoins to an existing Bermuda style home at 1302 Pelican Lane was considered. Your requests were approved with the conditions that the chain link fence shall be screened from the neighbor's view with landscape /hedge plantings and the pool screen enclosure indicated on the survey shall not be replaced. If a building permit, including the aforementioned improvements, is not applied for by July 8, 2006 these approvals will expire. Dear Mr. Thatcher: During the construction process, several minor elevation changes were made for the renovated structure at 1302 Pelican Lane in Gulf Stream, FL. They are as follows: 1) Windows have been added along the west (side) elevation of the garage. Previously, wood slates were to be provided. 2) The stucco band around the octagonn windows at the 1/2 bath along the front elevation of this structure has been eliminated. 3) Wood shutters have been removed at all windows and doors where they were previously shown on the town approved building elevations. 4) A copper chimney shield has been added above the fireplace chimney. Additional height was added to the chimney but the town approved maximum height of the structure was never exceeded. The peak of the second floor roof is the highest point of this structure. Attached to this letter is a copy of the as -built building elevations for this structure showing these changes. One or two walls were not on the plan, maybe more. Some wall have stress crack. When the County see it, there may be more walls that have to come down. They aren't register with the County. There isn't a permit. The Road was blocked prohibiting safety vehicles to pass. Not a good start. I asked them to secure the property, make it safe, and stop work. However, the builder, Patrick Noone, assures me that even though it looks dramatic with the roof off it is exactly what we understood was approved by the council and clearly shown on the demolition page of the plans.
