HomeMy Public PortalAboutr 16-011Purr ltion of toe Porotx�4 of &r#eref, �C 4 N 16 -11 Date of AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT CME ASSOCIATES, RE: MILIK STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS AND ROADWAY RECONSTRUCTION WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret is in need of specialized engineering services with regard to Drainage Improvements and Roadway Reconstruction for Milik Street; and WHEREAS, CME Associates, 1460 Route 9 South, Howell, New Jersey 07731, possesses the requisite experience and expertise to provide said services; and WHEREAS, CME Associates has submitted a proposal to provide said services at a total cost not to exceed $65,000.00; and WHEREAS, the Mayor and the Council have reviewed said proposal; and WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that funds are or will be available for said purpose. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and the Council of the Borough of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows: The proposal from CME Associates for engineering services with regard to Drainage Improvements and Roadway Reconstruction for Milik Street, contract documents, permit and bid phase services at a total cost not to exceed $65,000.00 is hereby approved. 2. This action is approved as an award of a professional services contract pursuant to N.J.S.A 40A:11- 5(1)(a) in accordance with the Borough's Fair and Open Process as authorized by law. 3. A copy of this Resolution be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing Department and CME Associates.
