A RESOLUTION OF THE CRESTVIEW CITY COUNCIL,
FLORIDA, APPROVING THE TITLE VI AND NON-
DISCRINIINATION POLICY AND PLAN INCLUDING
LIMITED ENGLISH PROFICIENCY (LEP).
WHEREAS, it is the policy of the City of Crestview under Title VI of the Civil Rights
Act of 1964; Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973; Age Discrimination Act of 1975;
Section 324 of the Federal -Aid Highway Act of 1973; Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987; the
Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992, and related statutes and regulations, that no person shall on the
ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits
of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination or retaliation under any federally or non -federally
funded program, service or activity administered by the City or its sub -recipients; and
WHEREAS, the City of Crestview is the recipient of state and federal grant funds for
public transportation in the Crestview City Limits; and
WHEREAS, the state and federal grants impose certain obligations; and
WHEREAS, for the City of Crestview to continue receiving and utilizing state and federal
grant funds it is necessary to adopt the Title VI and Nondiscrimination Policy and Plan including
Limited English Proficiency (LEP);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
CRESTVIEW THAT:
The City Council wholly supports and approves the Title VI and Nondiscrimination Policy
and Plan including Limited English Proficiency (LEP).
PASSED AND DULY ADOPTED BY '1'11L CRESTVIEW CITY COUNCIL on this
10th day of December 2018.
