. A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE •CITY OF 'LYNWOOD,
APPROVING STOP SIGN INSTALLATION AND NECESSARY- PAVEMENT
MARKINGS ON HARRIS AVENUE AT PLATT AVENUE -
WHEREAS, a request to consider installation of stop signs was received
by Public Works; and `r�
WHEREAS, pursuant to California Vehicle Code Section 21354 and
Lynwood Municipal Code (LMC) Section 7-9.8, the City retains the authority to
install stop signs on streets within the City of Lynwood; and
WHEREAS, staff field checked the location and determined that the
installation of stop signs would be appropriate and should be installed as soon as
possible; and
WHEREAS, stop signs, stop legends and stop bars were installed on
northbound and southbound Harris Avenue at Platt Avenue on October 4, 2013
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
DOES HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. In accordance with California Vehicle Code Section 21354
and LMC Section 7-9.8, that the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves the
installation of stop signs, stop legends and stop bars on northbound and
southbound Harris Avenue at Platt Avenue on October 3, 2013.
Section 2. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its
adoption.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this
Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 15th day of October, 2013.
