SPECIAL MEETING OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND. INDIANA. OCTOBER 26. 1992
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session on Monday,
2 October 26, 1992 in said City. Thomas Milligan presided with Earnest Jarvis and Dennis Grimes in attendance.
3 The following business was had to-wit:

5 Chairman Milligan announced that the meeting was called for the sole purpose of dealing with bids for work on
6 construction of the base and storm sewer facilities necessary for the South 6th Street parking lot commonly
7 referred to as the Color Box lot.

9 Grimes reported that quotes for bids had been sent to Contractors United, Mike DeLucio and Son, Barrett
10 Paving and Potter's Excavating.

12 Bids were received from Contractors United and DeLucio and Son,both of Richmond.

14 Grimes opened the bid submitted by Contractors United and passed it on to Milligan who checked it and found
15 that all the papers were in order. Milligan then handed it to Jarvis who announced the amount of the bid was
16 $42,298.90.Jarvis passed the papers to the City Engineer Robert Wiwi for his review.

18 Grimes opened the bid submitted by DeLucio and Son, handed it to Milligan then to Jarvis who announced the
19 bid was $39,567.00.That bid was also handed to Wiwi to check. After reviewing both bids, Wiwi recommended
20 the contract be awarded to DeLucio and Son as the lowest and most responsive bidder.Jarvis made the motion
21 to accept the bid of$39,567.00 and award the contract to DeLucio and Son, second by Grimes and carried by
22 unanimous voice vote.

24 Jarvis questioned when actual work would begin on the project and was told some of it would be started within
25 the week,with the major part beginning Monday, Nov.2.

29 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed the meeting was adjourned.
