A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND. INDIANA. DECEMBER 30. 1991
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session December 30,
2 1991 at the hour of 10:00 A.M. in the Municipal Building in said City. Ms. Hauptstueck presided with Ms.
3 Planck in attendance. Absent: Mr. Smith. The following business was had to-wit:

7 Ms. Hauptstueck opened the meeting for the purpose of making a settlement of property belonging to Joseph
8 and Troy Horvath. Persons in attendance representing the City of Richmond were: Mr. Bruce Metzger,
9 Attorney at Law and Robert Wiwi. Representing Troy and Joseph Horvath was Mr. George Sowers, Attorney at
10 Law.

12 Mr. Sowers explained to the Board that a new appraiser who specializes in Motel property has been contacted
13 but they cannot do the appraisal until January. He stated that the motel owners are interested in rebuilding a 20
14 ' unit motel on 62 feet of the property and just sell the City 55 feet for the roadway.

16 Mr.Wiwi indicated that 55 feet is enough for the new Elks Road Extension.

18 Ms. Planck moved to continue the eminate domain settlement to the last meeting in January, seconded by Ms.
19 Hauptstueck and on unanimous voice vote the motion carried.

24 Chief Rice requested that the Board accept Greg Rose as a new hire effective January 1, 1992. Mr. Rose has
25 been accepted by PERF and the Police Merit Commission.

27 Ms. Planck moved to accept Greg Rose as a new hire effective January 1, 1992, seconded by Ms. Hauptstueck
28 and on unanimous voice vote the motion carried.

33 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed the meeting was adjourned.
