AWARDING BID FOR BERGEN STREET
PUMP STATION CONIINIINUTOR REPLACEMENT
WHEREAS, the Borough has publicly advertised for die receipt of bids for the Bergen Street Pump
Station Comminutor Replacement Project; and
WHEREAS, the Borough has solicited and received four (4) bid proposals for the Bergen Street Pump
Station Comminutor Replacement Project as follows:
Total Base Bid
1. Rapid Pump & Meter Services $ 71,890.00
2. GMH Associates of America $ 78.346.00
3. Coppola Services S 79,850.00
4. CFM Construction S 88 700.00
WHEREAS, Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., Inc., of Paterson, NJ has submitted the lowest bid for
said contract as evidenced by the response on file with the Borough's Purchasing Department and with
the Borough Engineer; and _
WHEREAS, the Borough Engineer has reviewed the above bid proposals and has recommended the
award of a contract to Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., Inc, in a total amount not to exceed
$71,890.00, per attached award letter; and
WHEREAS, the Chief Financial Officer has certified that hinds are or will be available for said purpose.
VOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough of Carteret as
Follows:
1. That the appropriate Borough Officials are hereby authorized to enter into a contract
with Rapid Pump & Meter Service Co., Inc., of Paterson, N.J. for the Project for the
sum of $71,890.00 in accordance in all respects with the request for proposals and
bid on same.
2. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Borough's Purchasing
Department and Borough Engineer.
3. That the aforementioned award of bid is contingent upon formal approval from the
New Jersey Department of Labor, Division of Wage and Hour Compliance.
