INCIDENT SUMMARY
On 06/07/2019 at approximately 1951 hrs Ofc. T. Sutton and I responded to 1171 N. Ocean Blvd #4A south in reference to an
911; female saying "send police now .... He's trying to kill me".
Upon police arrival, on the fourth floor apartment unit police heard a woman screaming, "help me, he's trying to kill me, help
me, help me.
Police from room to room identified where the woman was, a guest bathroom.
Using the bathroom mirror to my advantage, I saw a woman later identified as Laura Lee Boone. Ms. Boone was in a fetal
position in the corner of the bathroom shower stall covering her head with her hands and arms consistent with defending
herself.
In the same shower stall was a male, later identified as Clark E. Graebner standing over Ms. Boone with an arm raised over
her with an object in hand. Mr. Graebner was postured in a way consistent with confining her and assaulting Ms. Boone.
I yelled out, "police, police, let me see your hands. Mr. Graebner immediately turned, exited the shower stall and appeared in
the bathroom doorway holding what was later discovered to be a metal towel bar wall mount.
On direction of police, Mr. Graebner immediately dropped the metal wall mount, throwing it in a nearby sink.
Mr. Graebner was subsequently placed in custody, handcuffed, (D/L) checked for fit.
Ms. Boone was crying, visibly shaken and shaking uncontrollably.
Ms. Boone had visible red marks on and about her upper and lower arms, and neck, chest region (photos taken).
Separate from the presence of Mr. Graebner, Ms. Boone stated the following;
Ms. Boone and Mr. Graebner have had a continuing and significant relationship of a romantic or intimate nature for the last
Nage s of s
six (6) years; having separate residences.
Uomplamt Number: 19-IU23
Ms. Boone stated that this evening Mr. Graebner stopped by and the two later began to argue over Mr. Graebner accusing
Ms. Boone of cheating with another man.
Ms. Boone continued by stating that Mr. Graebner escalated the confrontation by chasing her in the guest bathroom swinging
a selfie pole (stick) at her in a threatening manner.
Once cornered in the bathroom shower, Ms. Boone stated that Mr. Graebner tore the towel bar from the wall and began
striking her with it, on the top and side of the head, causing her to fall against the shower wall.
Ms. Boone stated, that Mr. Graebner grabbed her at the shoulders and begun to force her against the shower wall causing her
head to bounce off the wall keeping her from exiting the bathroom, confining her against her will.
Mr. Graebner was then said to have grabbed the towel rod mounting fixture and posturing himself in a manner consistent with
the intent to strike Ms. Boone. This is when police arrived.
Mr. Graebner exhibited being excited, perspiring profusely and nervous. Mr. Graebner refused to talk to the police.
With the contents of the 911 call, what police witnessed, what Ms. Boone stated coupled with the physical condition of Ms.
Boone I did find probable cause to arrest and charge Mr. Graebner with;
One (1) count Aggravated Assault (Dating Violence) per F.S.S. 784.021(1)(a)
One (1) count False Imprisonment (Dating Violence) per F.S.S 787.02 (2) AND
One (1) count Simple Battery (Dating Violence) per F.S.S 784.03(1)a(1)
Mr. Graebner was transported to Gulf Stream Police Department and processed on charges. From there Mr. Graebner was
transported by me to the Palm Beach County Jail ... No further at this time.
*Evidence collected was documented and placed into locker -
*VICTIM SWORN WRITTEN STATEMENT ON FILE -
*MS. BOONE WAS PROVIDED WITH A VICTIM RIGHTS PAMPHLET-
