A RESOLUTION OF T E CIT COUNCIL O' THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA, APPOIN ING A DELEGATE, A TERNATE DELEGATE AND
SUBSTITUTE ALTERN TE TO •ERVE AS TH: CITY'S REPRESENTATIVES
ON THE GOVERNIN BOA-.D OF THE I DEPENDENT CITIES RISK
MANAGEMENT AUTH RITY (I•RMA)
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY O- LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLO S:
WHEREAS, the ity of L nwood ("City") i. a member of the Independent .
Cities Risk Managemen Authorty ("ICRMA"), a joint powers authority created
pursuant to the provisio s of the i alifornia Gover ment Code; and
WHEREAS, ICR A pro ides a Liabilit Risk Management Program,
Property Risk Managem-nt Prog am, Workers' C•mpensation Risk Management
Program, and other pro.rams for its members; a d
WHEREAS, the oint Po ers Agreement provides that the city council of
each member city ma appoin a member of the city council or other staff
member as that city's r-presen otive to the ICRMA Governing Board and also
authorizes the appoint ent of an alternate representative and a substitute
alternate representative to repre.ent the city's i erest in the absence of the city
appointee; and
WHEREAS, the City d:sires to desig ate its representatives to the
ICRMA Governing Boar... .
NOW, THERE-ORE, HE CITY C u UNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD, CALIFO NIA, DOES HEREB FIND, DETERMINE AND
DECLARE AS FOLLO S:
Section 1. Th t Director of Human -esources & Risk Management
Haydee M. Sainz is he eby appointed as deleg. e to the Governing Board of the
ICRMA and the Risk Managem:nt Programs in hich the City participates.
Section 2. That Fina ce Director ^ manda Roberson is hereby
appointed as alternateldelegat: to the Governi g Board of the ICRMA and the
• Risk Management Pro rams in hich the City 4articipates in the absence of the
primary member noted in Sectio 1 above.
Section 3. Th t Personnel Analyst Yolanda Delgadillo is hereby
appointed as the subs itute alt.rnate to the Go erning Board of ithe ICRMA and
the Risk Management rogram. in which the •ity participates in the absence of
the primary and altern e members noted in Section 1 and 2 above.
Section 4. That the individuals designated by this City Council as the
City's representative, alternate and substitute alternate representatives to the
ICRMA Governing Board and to the Risk Management Programs in which this
City participates are hereby confirmed and designated as the City's delegates for
all purposes of representing the City's interests and exercising the authority of
the City with respect to the Coverage and the Program and voting on behalf of
the City on all matters delegated to the Governing Board and signing such
amendments as are contemplated to be approved by the Governing Board.
Section 5. The Mayor, or presiding officer, is hereby authorized to affix
his signature to the resolution signifying its adoption and the City Clerk, or her
duly appointed deputy is directed to attest thereto.
Section 6. That this Resolution is to be given effect upon its adoption by
the City Council of the City of Lynwood.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 19th day of November, 2013.
