A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
PROJECT CHANGE ORDER NO. 2, ACCEPTING THE STREET IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT, PROJECT NO. 4011.67.006, AS BEING COMPLETE AND AUTHORIZING
THE.DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS/CITY ENGINEER TO RECORD THE NOTICE
OF COMPLETION
WHEREAS, on January 2, 2013, the City Council of the City of Lynwood
awarded the Street Improvement Project contract to Hardy and Harper, Inc., in the
amount of$1,969,000; and
WHEREAS, the project's construction started on February 4, 2013 and was
completed on November 22, 2013; and
WHEREAS, the project was funded through the Measure R bond funds; and
WHEREAS, the final construction cost is $2,144,045.33; and
WHEREAS, Public Works staff conducted the final inspection on November 22,
2013 and found that all work had been completed in accordance with the project plans
and specifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY FIND, PROCLAIM, ORDER AND RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood approves Change
Order No. 2, in the amount of $192,768.24.
Section 2. That the City Council of the City of Lynwood accepts the Street
Improvement Project, Project No. 4011.67.006, as complete in accordance with contract
documents and authorizes the Director of Public Works/City Engineer to record the
Notice of Completion.
Section 3. This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
Section 4. The City Clerk shall certify as to the adoption of this Resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED on this 3rd day of December, 2013.
