THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 6, 1989 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session February 6, 1989 2 at the hour of 9:00 A.M. in the Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Barden presided with Ms. Hauptstueck in 3 attendance. Absent: Mr.Willis. The following business was had to-wit: 4 5 RECEIVE BIDS FOR BULK PURCHASES OF GASOLINE AND FUEL 6 7 Mr. Barden explained that a bid had erroneously been overlooked at the previous meeting and it would be 8 accepted at this time. 9 10 An affidavit from the Clerk's Office was presented explaining the error as follows: 11 12 Following the Board of Works meeting of February 2, 1989, where bids were accepted and opened for the bulk 13 purchase of gasoline and fuel, it was discovered that a bid envelope had been omitted. The bid was found in the 14 Clerk's Office and was stamped as being received in the Clerk's Office on February 1, 1989 at 2:45 p.m. City 15 Attorney, Ken Barden and Purchasing Director, Rita Stout were immediately notified of the error and the Clerk's 16 Office was advised of a special meeting to be called on February 6, 1989 to handle the matter. 17 18 /s/ Carol Brady,Deputy Clerk 19 20 21 Purchasing Director Rita Stout opened the following bid. 22 23 1.New Paris Oil, New Paris,Ohio. The bid was on the proper form,signed, notarized and accompanied 24 by a bidders bond. Bid was as follows: 25 26 Regular gasoline -Transport only $ .579 27 Tanker .642 28 29 Reg.Unleaded gasoline-Transport only $ .5565 30 Tanker .619 31 32 Premium Unleaded gasoline-Transport .6615 33 Tanker .737 34 35 Diesel#1- Transport only $ .626 36 Tanker .682 37 38 Heating Oil #1 Transport only $ .626 39 Tanker .682 40 41 Heating Oil#2 Transport only $ .538 42 Tanker .599 43 44 Ms. Hauptstueck moved to refer the bids for the Purchasing Director for review and recommendation, 45 seconded by Mr. Barden and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 46 47 48 ADJOURNMENT 49 50 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed the meeting was adjourned. 51 52 53 54 55 56 Kenneth E.
