RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE CONTROL BOARD IN ACCORDANCE WITH
N.J.S.A. 33:1-5
BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey, as follows:
1. That, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 33:1 -5, there be and is hereby established the
Borough of Carteret Alcoholic Beverage Control Board ( "Board ") to replace the Mayor
and Council as the municipal authority responsible for the administration of the issuance
of Alcoholic Beverage Licenses within the Borough.
2. That said Board shall, to the fullest extent permitted by law, henceforth
have and exercise all of the duties of a municipal authority to administer the issuance of
Alcoholic Beverage Licenses in accordance with N.J.S.A. 33:1 -1 et seq., the rules and
regulations promulgated thereunder and Chapter 71, "Alcoholic Beverages" of the Code
of the Borough of Carteret.
3. That the following three (3) individuals be and are hereby appointed to
serve as the i members of said Board, who shall serve for no salary and whose initial
terms shall be as respectively set forth herein, with any future appointments to said Board
being for a term of three (3) years:
Mayor Daniel J. Reiman - Three (3) Year Term
Francis R. James, Jr.- Two (2) Year Teri
James A. Failace- One (1) Year Tenn
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Municipal Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of the within Resolution, under seal of the Borough,
to the Commissioner of Alcoholic Beverage Control, along with a certificate of
acceptance of appointment by each member of the aforementioned Board.
