• BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND. INDIANA. OCTOBER 11. 1988
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in special session October 11,
2 1988 at the hour of 9:00 A.M. in the Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Barden presided with Ms. Hauptstueck
3 in attendance. Absent: Mr.Willis. The following business was had to-wit:

9 Award Bid for No. 4 Firehouse Roof

11 Ms. Rita Stout, Purchasing Director, informed the Board that her recommendation was to Nationwide Roof and
12 Sheet Metal of Dayton, Ohio. She said two of the vendors, Fredericks, Inc. and Len Echstein Roofing did not
13 meet specifications since they only bid single-ply roofing systems. Ms. Stout added that Nationwide was the
14 lowest of the two bidders meeting specifications and they will honor the cost as originally bid. She said the work
15 will be completed prior to winter and the manufacturer of the roofing product will warrant and oversee the
16 installation.

18 Ms. Hauptstueck moved to award the bid for the roof at Firehouse No. 4 to Nationwide Roof and Sheet Metal of
19 Dayton,Ohio.at a bid price of 45,402.00,seconded by Mr. Barden and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
20 carried.

22 Set Date to Receive Bids for Six Park Bond Projects

24 Ms. Stout requested the Board to set November 10, 1988 to receive bids for six projects for the Richmond Park
25 Department as part of the bond issue. She said the Board will receive the bids and the Park Board will review and
26 make award recommendations.

28 Mr. Hauptstueck moved to set November 10, 1988 at 9:00 AM as the date and time to receive bids for six bond

issue projects for the Richmond Park Department, seconded by Mr. Barden and on unanimous voice vote the
motion was carried.

32 Set Date to Receive Bids for Phase II of the Sheridan Street Project

34 Ms. Stout explained that Phase II of the Sheridan Street Project for flood control was ready to be bid and
35 requested the Board to set November 10, 1988 as the date to receive the bids.

37 Ms. Hauptstueck moved to set November 10, 1988 at 9:00 AM as the date and time to receive bids for a flood
38 control project as Phase II of the Sheridan Street extension, seconded by Mr. Barden and on unanimous voice
39 vote the motion was carried.

43 There being no further business,on a motion duly made,seconded and passed the meeting was adjourned.
