Minutes of the September�eeting were approved on a motion by Claassen, seconded by Bckhoff. Carried. Following a motion by Hippen, seconded by Van Deest, the fol- lowing bills were approved for payment: Aeilt Terfehn, net salary �393.24 Herman DeVries, net salary 393.24 Henry J. Grobe, net salary 72.00 Herman DeVries, used refrigerator for disposal plant 17.00 B & B Auto, repairs on pick up 23.35 Jangling Gulf, gas, oil, labor 141.64 Fred Wubbens, labor on sewer 6.00 Henry Hippen, hauling pea gravel 68.3$ Harold Weichers, hauling rock and pea gravel 393.72 Wellsburg Herald, provisions & claims 28.40 Grundy Co. Landfill Comm., landfill 231.78 Share Corp., enzymes-50 lbs. 241.97 E. B. Spencer Engineering, work at sewer plant and testing equipment 180.51 Matt Parrott & Sons, election supplies and clerical supplies 50.20 United Telephone Co., toll calls 4.95 Iowa Elec. Light � Power, utilities 5�7.39 Treasurer, State of Iowa, sales tax 105.65 Treasurer, State of Iowa, Iowa with- holding taxes 68.00 Dept. HEW, social security taxes 364.05 IPERS, taxes 224.00 Peoples Savings Bank, federal with- holding taxes 329.10 On a motion by Huisman, seconded by Claassen, the treasurer's report was accepted as read. Carried. Claassen made a motion, seconded by Eckhoff to accept the re- vised curb and gutter assessment for Mrs. Adeline Cartwright as per town engineer, Hollis Ryken. Carried. On a motion by Van Deest, seconded by Huisman, the council approved the beer and liquor application of Donald Ross, d/b/a The Pub. Carried. The clerk reported receipt of a letter from the Iowa State Highway Commission regarding obstructions located on public pro- perty along Iowa Highway 214 within the Town of �lellsburg. The clerk was instructed to notify persons/businesses concerned. There being no further business, the meeting stood adjourned on a motion by Huisman, seconded by Claassen. ayor lerk
