4. On May 11, 2014, Commission Appointment Ad Hoc Committee (i.e.,
Councilmembers Sternquist and Vizcarra) reviewed the 9 applications and
directed staff to set up interviews with 3 of the applicants.
5. On May 25, 2014, the Commission Appointment Ad Hoc Committee interviewed 3
commission applicants.
6. On June 5, 2014, City Council appointed Stephen Curran and Tom O'Leary to the
Planning Commission; Donna G\3orgino and Kristel Haddad to the Parks &
Recreation Commission; and Dahhy Redmond and Ousama Nimri to the
Transportation and Public Safety Commission.
ANALYSIS:
The appointees to each of the Commissions (Le., Planning, Parks and Recreation, and
Public Safety) will fill the expiring term of office ending June 30, 2014. Resolutions of
appointments are presented for City Council's consideration and adoption. If
appointed, the appointees will receive their Oath of Office at the City Council Meeting of
June 17, 2014. Appointments of the neyv commissioners in June will ensure that they
are seated and ready to conduct City Commission business at their first official meeting
in July.
CONCLUSION:
The City Council is requested to adopt proposed Resolution No. 14-5001 appointing
Donna Georgina and Kristel Haddad to t_he Parks and Recreation Commission; ...
Resolution No. 14-5002 appointing DCJnny Redmond and Ousama Nimri to the
Transportation and Public Safety Commission; and Resolution No. 14-5003 appointing
Stephen Curran and Tom O'Leary to the Planning Commission with a term of office
ending June 30, 2016 for all six commissioners.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This item does not have an impact on the Fiscal Year (FY) 2013-14 City Budget.

RESOLUTION NO. 14-5001
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY CONFIRMING APPOINTMENT TO THE PARKS AND
RECREATION COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Donna Georgino is hereby appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission
of the City ofT em pie City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2016.
SECTION 2. That Kristel Haddad is hereby appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission of
the City of Temple City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2016
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.

CITY CONFIRMING APPOINTMENTS TO THE TRANSPORTATION
AND PUBLIC SAFETY COMMISSION
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE CITY DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE
AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. Thai Danny Redmond is hereby appointed to the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission of the City of Temple City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2016.
SECTION 2. That Ousama Nimri is hereby appointed to the Transportation and Public Safety
Commission of the City of Temple City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2016.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.

ANI) ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. That Steven Curran is hereby appointed to the Planning Commission of City of
Temple City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2016
SECTION 2. That Tom O'Leary is hereby appointed to the Planning Commission of City of
Temple City. Said term to expire on June 30, 2016.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this resolution.
