HomeMy Public PortalAbout03-17-2022 THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MARCH 17,2022 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met at 5:00 P.M., Thursday March 17,2022,in the Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, Richmond, Indiana. CALL TO ORDER President Robinson called the meeting to order and the following business was conducted: ROLL CALL Board members present were: Vicki Robinson, Emily Palmer and Matt Evans. Also in attendance were Kim Vessels,Assistant City Attorney; Monica Burns,Deputy City Clerk; Sherrie Richey, Code Enforcement; Derek Hill, Director of Code Enforcement; Tracy Bosell, Street Commissioner; Kara Noe, Purchasing; and Media. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Ms. Palmer moved to approve the minutes of March 10, 2022, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce, the motion carried. CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT Mr. Evans moved to approve the Claims for Payment in the amount of One Hundred Nine Thousand Six Hundred Sixty Six Dollars and ten cents ($109,666.10), supported by Ms. Palmer. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT -None PAYROLL CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT FOR PENSION -None REQUESTS -None BID OPENINGS • WEED ABATEMENT There was one bid submitted from Rinehart's Lawn Care and Landscaping in the amount not to exceed $45,700.00 BID AWARDS Board of Works Minutes March 17,2022 • AMBULANCE Penn Care,Inc.for a 2023 Braun Chief XL Type III Ambulance not to exceed$217,655.00. This Bid Award was tabled • DEMOLITION OF 5 PROPERTIES These were awarded as follows: Preferred Contractors of Ohio, Inc. 111 Richmond Avenue Not to exceed$8,900.00 B &B Construction for the following remaining properties. 1. 114 South 13th Street 2. 214 South 16th Street 3. 437 South 12th Street 4. 708 Indiana Avenue Not to exceed$46,000.00 Ms.Palmer moved to approve, supported by Mr. Evans. Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CONTRACTS • REVISED CONTRACT NO. 4-2022—CINTAS CORPORATION This contract was previously approved by the Board of Works on January 20, 2022. Cintas requested contract verbiage changes which were reviewed and revised by the Law Department. Mr. Evans moved to approve, supported by Ms. Palmer.Upon a vote viva voce,the motion carried. CHANGE ORDERS -None ADDENDUMS • ADDENDUM NO. 1 TO CONTRACT NO. 21-2021 — STAMPERS WRECKER SERVICE This addendum clarifies the scope of the services to include any vehicles required to be towed as part of an Unsafe Building Commission order and contract.
