AUTHORIZING DONATION OF SURPLUS FIRE TRUCK
FOR CANCER RESEARCH AND PATIENT SUPPORT
WHEREAS, the Borough of Carteret has agreed to donate a 1987 Pierce Fire Truck to
Guardians of the Ribbon, Pink Heals Central New Jersey Chapter for cancer research and
patient support; and
WHEREAS, by donating this truck, the Borough of Carteret or the Carteret Fire
Department, makes no expressed or implied warranty and it is understood that the above
mentioned truck has been subject to ordinary wear and tear; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the Borough to donate Engine 2 to Guardians of
the Ribbon, Pink Heals Central New Jersey Chapter.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the Borough
of Carteret, County of Middlesex, State of New Jersey that the donation of a 1987 Pierce
Fire Truck is hereby authorized.
Adopted this 19 day of June, 2014
and certified as a true copy of the
original on June 20, 2014.
