A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA,
ESTABLISHING A CITIZENS' ADVISORY COUNCIL, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Many municipalities use citizen advisory councils to
inject fresh ideas and new perspectives into local decision -making; and
WHEREAS, Citizens' Advisory councils can promote community
service and foster a better understanding among people of how
government works; and
WHEREAS, Citizens' Advisory councils are an excellent means of
promoting regular and active civic engagement among people; and
WHEREAS, as such, the City Council desires to create a Citizens'
Advisory Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this Resolution is in the
best interest and welfare of the residents of the City of Crestview.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR
AND CITY OF CRESTVIEW COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Recitals. The above recitals are true and correct and
are incorporated herein by this reference.
Section 2. Creation of the Citizens' Advisory Council. The
City Council hereby creates a Citizens' Advisory group, to be known as
the City of Crestview Citizens Advisory Council to report to and inform
the City Mayor regarding issues of special interest to citizens with the
City.
Section 3. Composition of the Group. The Group shall consist
of 7 members that represent the demographics of Crestview and i.s
composed of diverse members.
Section 4. Dissolution of Group. The Group shall automatically
dissolve upon completion of the task at hand, unless otherwise extended
by the City Council.

Section 5. Effective Date. This Resolution shall take effect
immediately upon adoption.
