HomeMy Public PortalAboutRES 2020-13 Comprehensive Fee ScheduleRESOLUTION: 2020-13 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CRESTVIEW ESTABLISHING A COMPREHENSIVE FEE SCHEDULE; PROVIDING FOR A TWENTY PERCENT REDUCTION OF BUILDING PERMIT FEES FOR NOT LESS THAN SIX MONTHS, PROVIDING FOR REVIEW AND AMENDMENTS; PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF CONFLICTING RESOLUTIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, there exists a need to provide a single document containing all fees and assessments charged by all departments within the City, and WHEREAS, this document shall be reviewed and updated on a regular basis, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA THAT: Section 1. Authority — Establishing a Comprehensive Fee Schedule. Pursuant to the authority of Section 2-28 of the City Code of Ordinances, the "Comprehensive Fee Schedule" is hereby created to adopt fee schedules as outlined in the attached document titled "Comprehensive Fee Schedule". Section 2.Reduction of Building Permit Fees. Upon adoption of this resolution, all Building Permit Fees will be reduced by twenty percent for a period of six months at which time the reduction may be extended for for an additional seven month period. Section 3. Review and Amendments. The "Comprehensive Fee Schedule" will be reviewed and amended as necessary. Amendments will be approved by the City Council and established by resolution. Section 4. Repealer. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict with these changes are hereby repealed to the extent of the conflict. Section 5. Effective Date. Resolution 2020-13 Undervalued permits if the building permit valuation appears to be underestimated on the application, the permit may be withheld unless the applicant can show detailed cost estimates which meet the approval of the building official. The building official may require a copy of the construction contract to be submitted with the permit application. Resolution 2020-13 Moving Structure Fee To move any non-portable structure from one lot to another noncontiguous lot within the city, $175.00. Resolution 2020-13 To move any non-portable structure from one location to another location within the same lot, parcel or tract, $45.00.
