BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICfMONID, INDIANA, DEER 5, 1985 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met in regular 2 session December 5, 1985 at the hour of 9:00 A.M. in the Municipal Building in said 3 City. Ms. Maness presided with Mr. Brown and Ms. Silberstein in attendance. The 4 following business was had to-wit: 5 6 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 27, 1985 7 8 Ms. Silberstein moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as prepared, 9 seconded by Mr. Brown and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 10 11 APPROVAL OF CLAIMS FOR PAYMENT 12 13 Mr. Brown moved to approve claims in the amount of 458,827.02, seconded by Ms. 14 Silberstein and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 15 16 DEPARTMENT REQUESTS AND CATS 17 18 Fire Department 19 20 November Monthly Report 21 22 The November monthly report of the Fire Department showed a total of 54 runs with 23 a loss estimate of 62,100.00. The report also included a Monthly Training Report. 24 Ms. Silberstein moved to accept and file the November Monthly Report, seconded by 25 Mr. Brown and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 26 27 Police Department 28 29 Nomination Election Committee - Police Merit Commission 30 31 The Clerk presented the Notice of Candidacy of Emma Christian and Virgil Shaw to 32 the Nomination Election Committee. 33 34 Ms. Silberstein moved to accept the two (2) candidates to the Nomination Election 35 Committee for the two-. (2)'Vacancies, secondedr by Mr., Brown_and on unanimous voices- 36 vote the motion was carried. 37 38 Ms. Silberstein moved to accept Emma Christian and Virgil Shaw as members of the 39 Nomination Election Committee in lieu of holding an election, seconded by Mr. Brown 40 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 41 42 Richmond Power & Light 43 44 Mr. Robert Hankosky reported that the street lights approved by the Board on South 45 B Street had been installed and were in operation. 46 47 MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS 48 49 Public Meeting for Cable TV Proposal 50 51 Ms. Maness reminded the public that a meeting would be held December 5, 1985 at 7:00 52 P.M. in the Common Council Chambers for the purpose of receiving information and I53 public comments on the tier structure proposal by Clearview Cable TV. 54 55 ADJOURNMENT • 56 57 There being no further business, on a motion duly made, seconded and passed the meeting 58 was adjourned. 59 60 61 Cathy Maness, President 62 63 64 ATTEST: 65 Mary Merchanthouse, City Clerk
