COMMON COUNCIL OF tHE CITY OF RICHMOND INDIANA
ORDINANCE NO.20-2022
AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMITTAL,ACCEPTANCE,AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT
FROM THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY
WHEREAS, In accordance with Indiana Code (IC) 36-1-4-10, a municipality may execute any
documents necessary to receive money from the state or federal government or
any other source, and said documents are.:prepared and executed by the City
executive administration, provided that the Common Council of the City of
Richmond as the legislative body of the City approves an ordinance for the
appropriation of any monies received in accordance with IC 36-4-6-18;and
WHEREAS, The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has grant funding
available through its Citywide Emergency Response Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, The City of Richmond, Indiana, has submitted or will submit a grant application
to obtain funds which will be used for reimbursement of emergency responses;
and
WHEREAS, No local match is required except to the extent services were already provided for
COVID-related disaster relief as eligible for reimbursement.
NOW, THEREFORE,be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of°Richmond,
Indiana,as follows:
1. The City of Richmond has submitted or will submit, as authorized by IC 36-1-4-
10,a grant application to the FEMA Citywide Emergency Response Grant Program.
2. The City of Richmond is authorized to accept said reimbursement grant funding in
an amount up to One Hundred Eighty-four Thousand Six Hundred Sixty.Dollars and Sixty-seven
Cents($184,660.67).

4. Said grant funding or reimbursement shall be used for emergency response
services previously rendered by the City of Richmond for COVID-related disaster relief.
