CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, NOVEMBER 23, 1983
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
2 in regular session November 23 , 1983 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building in said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Cordell and Mr. Webb
4 present. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 17 , 1983

111 8 Mr. Cordell moved to approve the minutes of November 17, 1983 as prepared,
9 seconded by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

11 REQUEST TO USE FIRE TRUCK AT 10:00 A.M. AND 6:30 P.M. FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 25

13 The Board received a request for use of a fire truck on November 25 for the
14 arrival of Santa.

16 Mr. Webb moved the request to use the fire truck at 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
17 • Friday, November 25 be approved as presented, seconded by Mr. Meredith. Mr.
18 Cordell stated he will refrain from voting due to the fact it may be a conflict
19 of interest. On voice vote the motion was carried with Mr. Cordell abstaining.

21 REQUEST FOR STREET LIGHTING

23 Mr. Jim Mays and Mr. Bob Hankosky, representing Richmond Power & Light,
24 presented a petition and Street Light Committee approval for lighting on
25 S. W. 20th Street and Meadow Park.

27 Mr. Webb moved the request be taken under advisement, seconded by Mr. Cordell
28 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

30 Mr. Cordell requested a list of street lights to be removed by the first of
31 the year.

33 Mr. Meredith asked why the lights on 27 North had not been changed from mercury
34 to sodium. Mr. Hankosky stated weather permitting they will be changed yet
35 this year.
