BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 2, 1983
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
2 in regular session June 2, 1983 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building in said City. Mr.. Meredith presided with Mr... Cordell and Mr. Webb
4 present. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF MAY 26, 1983

8 Mr. Webb moved the minutes of the previous meeting be approved as prepared and
9 placed on file, seconded by Mr. Cordell and on unanimous voice vote the motion
10 was carried.

7 12 DRIVEWAY PETITION FOR 1121 RIDGE STREET - George Webb

14 Mr. Webb presented a request for a small residential driveway at 1121 Ridge
15 Street from Mr. Luther Million. The request has approval of Traffic and En-
16 gineering Departments.

18 Mr. Webb moved for approval of the subject driveway petition, seconded by Mr.
19 Cordell and on unanimous voice vote the motion was .:carried..

21 REPORT ON JUNK VEHICLE HEARING FOR 1326R-IDGE AND 1414 HOLSAPPLE

23 The Clerk read the following:

30 . Please be advised that the inoperable vehicles have been removed
31 from the above captioned properties and a nuisance no longer exists.

38 BUREAU OF BUILDINGS MONTHLY REPORT - Charles Roberts

40 Building Commissioner Charles Roberts presented his report for May, 1983.

42 Mr. Webb moved that the monthly report of the Bureau of Buildings be accepted
43 and- placed on file, seconded by Mr. Cordell and on unanimous voice vote the
44 motion was carried.

46 REQUEST FOR STREET DANCE - Kate Deloney
47 .
48 Ms. Kate Deloney, 851 North 16th, requested North llth Street between "G" and
49 "H" be blocked on June llth from 9:00 p.m. until 1 :00 a.m., for a street dance.
50 The music will be a stereo with records. Mr. Meredith noted there have been
51 requests in the past from that general area and there is a problem with the sound
52 carrying some distance away... Officer Mark Smith, foot patrol officer for that
53 area, stated in the past there has been large stereo equipment and this will be
54 home stereo type. He sees no problem with the stereo equipment that will be used
55 and he will be ion duty at the time. Traffic Capt. Dan Wogoman sees no problem
56 with closing the street. Officer Smith will contact the Street Department for
III 57 barricades.

59 Mr. Cordell moved the street be blocked on North llth from "G" to "H" on June 11,
60 1983. from 8:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. , seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote
61 the motion was carried.
