CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, FEBRUARY 24, 1983
1 The Board of Public.Works and Safetyof -the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
2 in regular session February 24., 1983 at the. hour Of 9 :00 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building-in• said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Webb present. Mr. Cordell
4 was absent. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 'APPROVALOF MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 1-7., 1983 , . '

8 Mr. Webb moved the minutes be approved and placed on file as prepared, seconded
9 by Mr. Meredith and •on unanimous ,voice vote the motion was carried.

11 REPORT ON-DEMOLITION AT 200 NORTH 8TH STREET -. Charles Roberts-

13 Building Commissioner Charles Roberts presented pictures taken on February 14
14 showing debris not- cleaned -up. ' He stated nothing has been done for the last
• 15 thirty (30). days. -The original- order had a time period set for completion by
16 December 31, 1982. The situation is now dangerous and creates a health and
17 safety problem. City Attorney Ed Anderson stated the motion should reaffirm
18 'the previous order, .

20 Mr.' Meredith moved that an unsafe- condition does exist. at 200 North .8th and,:that
21 the, Building Commissioner pursue under the terms of the ordinance-and have this .
22 removed and the• charges be assessed against the property and owners thereof and
23 that this be done as soon aspossible, seconded by Mr. Webb and-.on unanimous
24 voice vote the motion was carried... Mr. Meredith' requested Mr. Roberts contact
25 _ both the owner and whoever is doing the demolition by registered letter with a
26 'return :receipt; and,-as soon as that receipt is returned, proceed with the removal.

32 REVOKE'.POWERS OF TWO (2) SPECIAL 'POLICE OFFICERS Chief Chris

34 Police,'Chief Charles Chris, requested. the police powers -of Keviri'R. ,Dickerson and
35 Pat Sheets., . Richmond Police Reserve. Of.ficers., be.revoked effective immediately.
36 Mr. Dickerson-has resigned due to being hired as a Probationary Patrolman with
37 the -Department and Ms. Sheets has resigned for health reasons.

• 39. Mr.. Webb moved the' subject request be approved, seconded by Mr. Meredith and on
40 unanimous' voice vote the motion was carried. -

42 TIMING OF NEW SIGNALIZATION , . • '

44 Capt. :Dan 'Wogoman. stated that timing of the newly installed traffic signals will
45 get started today. .
