HomeMy Public PortalAbout05-06-1982 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MAY 6, 1982 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana., met 2 in regular session May b., 1982 at the hou•r 'of 9:00. a.m. in. the Municipal 3 Building in said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. 'Cordell and Mr. Webb 4 present. The following business was had, to-wit: 5 6 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF APRIL 29, 1982 • 7 II/ 8 Mr. Cordell moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting. as received, 9 seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 10 11 ' REQUEST'FOR ONYX LODGE ,PARADE ON JUNE '6, 1982 - William Harris 12 ' .13 Mr. Harris stated the 479 Elks 'Onyx Lodge is requesting a parade in conjunction .14 with the State Convention to be held here. There will be approximately 15 cars,. 15 5 floats, 3 bands, 5 drill teams and 3 special units. He requests line up be 16 on North 16th between Main and' North "E" and the parade' will then go west on .17 North "A" to North 10th and turn north on 10th to North "D". The time of the 18 parade will be 2:00 p.m. with line-up at 12:30. p.m. ' 19 • 20 Capt. Wogoman suggested using North 15th instead of 16th so traffic can flow 21 , north-.to "E" on 16th. 'Mr. Harris agreed to this change. 22 23 " Mr. Cordell moved to approve the request for the Onyx Lodge parade on June 6, 24 1982 to be held at line-up time 12:30, seconded by Mr. Webb. Mr. Webb moved 25 that the motion be amended by making the parade subject' to the route and . 26 staging area as .outlined in the request, seconded by Mr. Cordell. On unanimous 27 voice vote the amended motion was carried. 28 29 . REQUEST FOR SATISFACTION. OF MORTGAGE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR 314 30 ' NORTH 19TH STREET - Ron Cheek 31 • 32 Mr, Cheek presented a satisfaction of mortgage for execution for 314 North 19th 33 Street. This' is under the Replacement Housing Program and the .mortgage was 34 placed on the property in February 4, 1977 for five (5) years, which time 35 period has expired. 36. 37 Mr. Webb moved that the subject mortgage release be executed, seconded by Mr. 38 Carden. City Attorney.Ed Anderson finds it in order. , On unanimous voice 39 vote the motion was carried. ' 40 . 41 UTILITY AGREEMENT FOR SOUTH "L" STREET PROJECT WITH GENERAL TELEPHONE - George 42 Webb 43 44 Mr. Webb presented a utility agreement from General Telephone for the South • 45 "L" Street project.. He noted similar agreements have been received from the 46 Sanitary„. District and RP&L. This is a -requirementby the State and Federal 47 Highway Administrations for approval of the reconstruction of South "L". 48 ' 49 Mr. Webb moved for acceptance of the subject agreement, seconded by Mr. Cordell 50 and on. unanimous voice vote the' motion was' carried. 51 52 . BUREAU OF BUILDINGS MONTHLY REPORT -. Charles Roberts 53 54 . Mr. Webb moved that the monthly report of -the Bureau of Buildings be accepted 55 and placed on file, seconded 'by Mr. Cordell and on unanimous voice vote the 56 motion was carried. • ' 57 58 WEIGHTS & MEASURES MONTHLY REPORT 59 60 Mr. Webb moved that the monthly report of the Department of Weights & Measures 61 be accepted and placed on file, seconded by Mr. Cordell and on unanimous voice 62 vote the motion was carried. b Board of Works Minutes Cont'd. MONTHLY REPORT 2 3 Following questions concerning the hours recorded in the radio.maintenance 4 monthly report, Mr. Webb moved that the Radio monthly report be taken under 5 advisement, seconded by Mr. Cordell and on unanimous voice vote the motion 6 was carried. 7 8 ADJOURNMENT 9 10 There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. 11 12 Donald E.
