HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-03-1981 /%c BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 3, 1981 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met 2 in regular session December 3, 1981 at the hour of 9 :00 a.m.. in the Municipal 3 Building in said City. Mr. Ryder presided.with Mr. Webb present. Absent: 4 Mr. Meredith. The following business was had, to-wit: 5 6 APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 25, 1981 7 8 Mr. Webb moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as prepared, 9 seconded by Mr. Ryder and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 10 11 MONTHLY REPORT - Bureau of Buildings 12 13 Mr. Ryder announced that the monthly report from the Bureau of Buildings will 14 be deferred until the next meeting. 15 16 OPEN BIDS - Refurbishing of Fire Trucks 17 18 City Attorney Ed Anderson examined proof of publication for the rehabilitation 19 of three (3) 1969 Motorized Fire Trucks and found it to be in order. 20 21 Mr. Webb moved the proof of publication be accepted and filed, seconded by 22 Mr. Ryder and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 23 24 The following bids were received and recorded: 25 26 3 D Metals, Inc. 27 Refurbishing 1969 Unit 23,300. 28 with 500 watt quartz lights 300. 29 1300 watt inverter 600. 30 2nd Unit, 1983 schedule 25,630. 31 3rd Unit, 1984 schedule 28,193. December 3, 1981 Page 2 1 requires a certified check to be filed with each bid by a bidder not having his 2 principal place of business in Indiana in an amount determined and specified by 3 the purchasing agent. He noted that the proof of publication did state the re- 4 quirement of a certified check, bidder's bond or cashier's check. 5 6 Mr. Webb moved to take the bids under advisement for tabulation, review and 7 recommendations, seconded by Mr. Ryder and on unanimous voice vote the motion 8 was carried. 9 10 Mr. Ryder announced that the bids would be awarded at the next regularly 11 scheduled meeting on December 10 at 9:00 a.m. 12 13 ADJOURNMENT 14 15 There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. 16 17 Tim Ryder 18 Acting President 19 20 ATTEST: Nancy V.
