REPORT ON STREET LIGHT REQUEST - Hibberd Dr.

Mr. Webb reported on the request of the Street Light Committee for instal-
lation of four (4) 175 Watt Post Top Street Lights on South 11th and Hibberd
Drive, and the removal of two (2) present 250 Watt Mercury Vapor Lights on
wood poles. He stated he and Mr. Meredith had checked the area at night
and the two (2) mercury vapor lights installed last fall seemed to be doing
an adequate job. In the immediate area, most of the lights are the 250
watt pole type lights. They could see no real advantage to traffic safety
as all the intersections are well lighted at this time. The change from
the present two (2) mercury to the four (4) post top lights would cause
an increase of $23.74 per month. Mr. Webb moved to deny the request,
seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.
