CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JULY 24, 1980
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met
2 in regular session July 24, 1980 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building in said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Anderson and Mr.
4 Webb present. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 MINUTES OF JULY 17, 1980 APPROVED

8 Mr. Webb moved to approve the minutes of the July 17 meeting as prepared,
9 seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

11 REQUEST FOR SOLID STATE TRAFFIC CONTROLS

13 Mr. Meredith announced this request has been postponed.

15 REQUEST FOR INSTALLATION OF FIRE HYDRANTS

17 Fire Chief Paul Mullin recommended installation of fire hydrants at the
18 following locations:
19
20 South 45th and "A" Street
21 South 48th and "A" Street
22 South 48th Street - approximately 600 feet south of "B" Street
23
24 Mr. Anderson moved to accept the recommendation of the Fire Chief, seconded
25 by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

27 REQUEST FOR PROMOTION OF PROBATIONARY OFFICER

29 Chief of Police Charles Chris requested that Officer Philman Bickel be advanced
30 from the rank of Probationary Patrolman to that of Patrolman Technician on
31 the Richmond Police Department effective July 29, 1980.

33 Mr. Webb moved the request of Chief Chris be approved, seconded by Mr. Anderson
34 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

36 SIGNALIZATION PROJECT IN RICHMOND

38 Mr. Webb read a letter from Virgil Bell, Chief, Division of State Aid of
39 the Indiana State Highway Commission stating "by copy of this letter we are
40 notifying your consultant, SIECO Inc. , that the Federal Highway Administration
41 has approved the 'Warrant Analysis Report' on the above subject project.
42 Your consultant may now proceed with the design phase in compliance with
43 the approved 'Warrant Analysis Report". Mr. Webb noted this project is
44 100% federally funded.
