HomeMy Public PortalAboutRES-CC-2004-06Resolution #06-2004 A RESOLUTION SETTING UTILITY DEPOSITS AND DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS POLICY The city treasurer will determine the need and amount of deposit required for city water, sewage and trash service for all applicants requesting these services The following guidelines will be used in the determination of the need for and the amount of deposit A Owners of single-family residential dwelling twenty-five dollars ($25 00) B Tenant of single-family residential dwelling seventy-five dollars ($75 00) C Commercial and industrial users fifty dollars ($50 00) D A deposit may be required from any customer at any time if payment record requires one E All deposits made with the city are non -interest beanng After one year the account will be reviewed and the deposit applied to the account if payment history shows twelve current consecutive payments After three consecutive years of service at the same location the account will be reviewed and the deposit applied to the account at the discretion of the Treasurer F The city will disconnect service to any accounts sixty days or more delinquent This resolution shall take effect immediately upon passage Passed and adopted by action of the governing body of the City of Moab in operysession this 1311i day of April, 2004 CITY O �OAB By (S' `.
