BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, MAY 7, 1980
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met
2 in special session May 7, 1980 at the hour of 9:30 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building in said City. Mr. Edward N. Anderson presided with Mr. George
4 Webb present. Mr. Donald E. Meredith was out of town. The following business
5 was had, to-wit:

7 Mr. Webb moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as prepared,
III 8 seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

10 Chief of the'Fire Department, Paul M. Mullin, presented to the Board the
11 recommendation for the appointment of Mr. Oscar Abner and Mr. Bobby Joe
12 Hamilton to the department as probationary firefighters. Mr. Webb moved to
13 accept them, effective May 8, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous
14 voice vote the motion was carried.

16 There was discussion by the Board and Capt. Wogoman about the street painting
17 at N. W. Second changing two lanes to three lanes. It was decided to defer
18 this matter to next week since the matter was under advisement and there has
19 been no response from the public.

21 There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
