CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 14, 1979
1 The_-Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
2 in regular session June 14, 1979 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal
3 Building of said City. Mr. Anderson presided with Mr. Webb present. Mr.
4 Meredith was on vacation. The following business was had, to-wit:

6 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as prepared,
7 seconded by Mr. Webb. Motion carried.

9 City Engineer George Webb presented the following two (2) curb cuts:

11 1515 North "A" for Autohaus. This request requires State Highway.
12 approval and has approval of the Plan, Traffic and Engineering
13 Departments. Mr. Webb moved to grant the petition, seconded by
14 Mr. Anderson. Motion carried.

16 1824 Chester Blvd. for Dr. Ignacio. This request requires State
17 Highway approval and has approval of the Plan, Traffic and Engineering
18 Department. Mr. Webb moved for approval, seconded by Mr. Anderson.
19 Motion carried.

21 Mayor Clifford Dickman appeared before the Board noting on June 8, 1979, Mr.
22 and Mrs. Elmer Porter gave to the City a painting of Glen Miller Park Lake
23 as it appeared in 1890.

25 Mrs. Stella Johnson, the mother of Mr. Porter, did the painting. The Mayor
26 stated the City appreciates the gift and would like the. Board of Works minutes
27 to record this fact.

III29 Mr. Anderson set a bid date of July 5, 1979 at 9:00 a.m. for one (1) vacuum
30 street sweeper for the Department of Transportation.

32 Mr. Anderson set a bid date of July 12, 1979 at 9:00 a.m. for bus shelters.
33 Deputy Director of Community Development Matt Nepote stated he has received
34 approval of the shelter specifications from the regional UMTA office.

36 Mr. Jim Wiechman, representing the Porter Poster Service, who owns Lot #43,
37 44, 45 and 46 in the former Homestead Cafe area, requested consideration for
38 clsoing of an alley in that area. Mr. Webb moved to take this matter under
39 advisement, seconded by Mr. Anderson. Motion carried.

41 Mr. Anderson stated the nuisance complaint against Mr. Mullins, which was
42 continued from last week, will be continued for one (1) more week.

44 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the
45 meeting was adjourned.
