HomeMy Public PortalAbout12-28-1978 BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, DECEMBER 28, 1978 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met 2 in regular session December 28, 1978 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the 3 Municipal Building of said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Anderson 4 present. Mr. Webb was on vacation. The following business was had, to wit: 5 6 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as prepared, 7 seconded by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried. 8 III 9 Mr. Meredith read a letter from UMTA giving their approval for awarding of 10 a bid for fareboxes to Duncan Industries. Department of Transportation 11 Director Jerry Haynes recommended that the bid be awarded to Duncan Industires 12 Mass Transit Division of Qonaar Corp. in the amount of $2,060.00 ea. for 10 13 fareboxes and $604.00 for 1 portable revenue transfer unit, for a total of 14 $21,204.00. Mr. Anderson moved to accept the bid of Duncan Industries Mass 15 Transit Division of Qonaar Corporation in the amount of $21,204.00, seconded 16 by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried. 17 18 Director of Community Development Tim Ryder requested Board approval to 19 sell property which was purchased for construction of the 20th Street curve. 20 These properties have no value to the City. Offers to purchase have been 21 received by adjoining property owners in the amount of $55.00 for the small 22 piece of ground on the inside of the curve and $300.00 for the other parcel. 23 Mr. Ryder requested the Board approve the sale of these lots, and then he will 24 present it to Common Council. Mr. Anderson moved to authorize and direct 25 that this parcel of land be sold to Marshel Sloan in the amount of $55.00 and 26 that''lots 257 and 258 be sold to Hargis Dunn in the amount of $300.00, seconded , 27 by Mr. Meredith and on unanimous voice vote, the motion was carried. 28 29 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed, the 30 meeting was adjourned. 31 32 Donald E.
