RESOLUTION AMENDING THE INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE
COORDINATION OF THE MOAB AREA PARTNERSHIP FOR SENIORS
HEALTH CARE AND HOUSING STUDY AND RELATED PROJECT
ELEMENTS BY AND BETWEEN GRAND COUNTY AND THE CITY OF MOAB
WHEREAS, the City of Moab passed Resolution #07-2004 approvmg the expenditure of
up to$18,000 dollars for the purpose of conducting a market survey, creating pro forma
documentation, wntmg a strategy to procure funding for construction, estimation of
operational and mamtenance costs and future staffing needs and qualifications and to
provide administrative support for up to three years to the Moab Area Partnership for
Semors (MAPS) m cooperation with Grand County Special Recreation District, Grand
County Hospital District, Grand County Buildmg Authonty and Grand County
WHEREAS, the City of Moab and Grand County have an existmg Interlocal Agreement
specifying how money given by either the City of Moab or Grand County to the MAPS
Project is spent and admmistered, and to provide administrative support for an assisted
living facility and mdependent housmg, and,
WHEREAS, that administrative process remains in place and operational in Grand
County
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY OF MOAB AND GRAND
COUNTY HEREBY AGREE TO AMEND THE EXISTING INTERLOCAL
AGREEMENT FOR THE COORDINATION OF THE MOAB AREA PARTNERSHIP
FOR SENIORS TO ALLOW THE ADMINISTRATION BY THE COUNTY OF UP TO
$18,000 DOLLARS OF ADDITIONAL CITY FUNDS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
PLANNING FOR AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY AND INDEPENDENT SENIOR
HOUSING UNITS
This Amendment shall take effect upon the passage by the City of Moab and Grand
County
