SPECIAL MEETING
BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RTCHMOND, INDIANA, AUGUST 8,1978
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana, met
2 in special session August 8,. 1978 at 10:00 a.m. in the Municipal Building in
3 said City set for the continuation of charges against Collins Dickerson.
III 4 Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Webb present. The following
5 business was had, to wit:

7 It was noted by Board President .Don Meredith that at the meeting two (2)
8 weeks ago there was an indication that a possible agreement would be made.
9 Attorney Robert Hudson, representing the City, stated the parties have
10 reached a joint agreement, which was submitted to the Board with the
11 recommendation of the City for the Board to accept.

13 Mr. Meredith asked Attorney James Backmeyer, representing Officer Dickerson,
14 if he was aware of the agreement here presented to which he answered in the
15 affirmative.

17 Mr. Meredith noted that Ed .Anderson as City Attorney is the officer in charge
18 of conducting the hearing and does not vote or participate in the discussion
19 other than representing the City.

21 Mr. Meredith and Mr. Webb examined the agreement (attached hereto and made
22 a part hereof) satisfactory to the Board of Works. Mr. Meredith, therefore,
23 moved to enter into the agreement, seconded by Mr. Webb. Motion carried.

25 Mr. Meredith stated that this concludes the purpose of the special meeting and
26 they stand adjourned.
