HomeMy Public PortalAbout01-19-1978 ci BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JANUARY 19, 1978 • 1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond, Indiana met 2 in regular session January 19, 1978 at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the 3 Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Meredith presided with Mr. Anderson 4 and Mr. Webb present. The following business was had, to wit: 5 6 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting as 7 prepared, seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was 8 carried. III 9 10 Mr. Webb moved to accept and file proof of publication for receipt of 11 bids for thirteen (13) mid-size police cars, seconded by Mr. Anderson 12 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. 13 14 The following bids were received and recorded: 15 16 Kurdy's Brookbank $ 70,599.00 17 Raper Plymouth $ 68,569.91 18 Fred FirstFord $ 64,749.69 19 Bob Ross Buick $ 72,387.16 20 21 Mr. Webb moved these bids be taken under advisement, seconded by Mr. 22 Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried. The bids 23 will be studied by Chief of Police Chris and awarded at the next meeting. 24 25 Mr. Webb stated there has been a problem maintenance wise with the 26 skywalks and the vendor advises there will have to be a new support 27 added to stabilize the dome. The total cost is $2400. and the City 28 would be obligated to pay $1200. for this reinforcement. Mr. Webb 29 recommends approval of this change order. . 30 31 Mr.Anderson moved to accept the recommendation of the City Engineer 32 regarding the skywalk change order, seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous III33 voice vote the motion was carried. 34 35 Plan Director Robert Goodwin stated construction bonds will be posted 36 to assure proper installation, to the satisfaction of the City Engineer, 37 of streets, curbs and storm drainage in Meadowpark Subdivision 2 and 3. 38 This area includeS• fifty-one (51) lots. 39 40 Mr. Webb moved approval be granted of Meadowpark Subdivision 2 and 3, 41 subject to receiving a construction surety acceptable to the Board 42 of Works, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion 43 was carried. 44 45 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded and passed 46 the meeting was adjourned. 47 48 Donald E.
