BOARD OF PUHLI.C :WORKS.AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RI.CHMOND, INDIANA, SEPTEMEER 30, 1977
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
2 Indiana, met in special session September 30, 1977 at the hour
3 of 6:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building in said. City. Mr.
4 Meredith presided with Mr. Anderson 'and Mr. Webb present. The
5 following business was had, to wit:

7 Mr. Meredith announced the purpose of this special meeting is
8 for swearing in ceremonies of Richmond Police Department. Reserve
9 Officers Robert Beatty, Robert. Burdette, James Downs,
10 Virginia Henemyre, John Mexin, John Miller, Marilyn Murray,
11 Clarence Porfidio, Alfred Shearer and•Robert Windle.

13 Chief Charles Chris stated he has. another Trainee, Malcolm
14 Buroker, who has completed his training requirements and would
15 request he be sworn as a qualified Richmond Police Department
16 Reserve Officer with the others.

18 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the recommendation of Chief
19 Charles Chris, seconded by Mr. Webb and on-unanimous voice vote
20 the motion was carried.

22 Mayor Clifford Dickman and Hoard members, stated they are
23 proud to be a part of this event, which is a first in the City.
24 Noting, the training course is not technically required and
25 these officers have completed extensive training, they thanked
26 all those who helped.

28 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded
29 and passed. the meeting was adjourned. The swearing in
30 ceremonies were then conducted.
