In response to a question raised by Mr. Anderson as to why additional policemen are needed under Ordinance No. 3235 and not under 3202 and 3203, Chief of Police Charles Chris stated the area to be covered had been looked at and the amount of service as -provided by the existing district and to the extent of development known and extent of development proposed within a three (3) year requirement period, that the additional service can be provided by the officer who serves that eastern district. Many of, thos.e roads are used as cut throughs and around the district now. In a tour of duty, although some of those roads are technically outside the city limits, they are used to move from one district to another or from one part of that district to another to answer calls or to change patrol patterns. Chief Chris stated he did not see additional work in that area as being a burden on that district and that district can absorb additional duties.
