CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, SEPTEMBER 26, 1977
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
2 Indiana, met in special session September 26, 1977 at the hour of
9:00 a.m. in the Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Meredith
presided with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Webb present. The following
5 business was had, to wit:

7 Mr. Meredith called the meeting to consider the curb cut
8 request of the Leland partnership and dispensed with the reading
9 of the minutes of the previous meeting.

11 Captain Loper gave his report concerning the parking situation
12 at the Leland Hotel. He stated that he had counted traffic and
13 an average of 1000 vehicles per hour passed with gaps of about
14 15 to 30 seconds at times. He stated that he is not fully
15 satisfied with the situation, but if Leland willing to give
16 an additional right-of-way, it will help tremendously.

18 Mr. Goodwin said he had also checked the situation and concurs
19 with Captain Loper's recommendation of using 10th Street to
20 enter and exit with the traffic signal.

22 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the curb cuts on 10th Street and
23 at the alley subject to conditions that there be no parking on
24 the South side of the Leland property west of the alley; that
25 the Leland grant a four (4) foot right-of-way subject to
26 putting stripes and arrows at exit of the Southeast corner;
27 for the police to erect 1-way signs on "A" Street with arrows
28 to the opposite exit, seconded by Mr. Webb and• on unanimous
29 voice vote the motion was carried.

31 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded
32 and passed the meeting was adjourned.
