BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY OF THE
CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JULY 7, 1977
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
2 Indiana, met in regular session July 7, 1977 at the hour of
3 9:00 a.m. in the Municipal Building in said City. Mr.
4 Meredith presided with Mr. Anderson and Mr. Webb present.
5 The following business was had, to-wit:

7 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the minutes of the previous
8 meeting as prepared, seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous
9 voi.ce vote. the motion was carried.

11 Mr. Webb moved to approve the recommendation of Fire Chief
12 Paul Mullin that Richard Longer Jr. be advanced to the rank
13 of Firefighter, First Class, effective July 8, 1977 as he has
14 completed his one (1) year probationary period, seconded by
15 Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion was
16. carried.

18 Mr. Matt Stegall, representing Old Richmond, Inc. , requested
19 closing South "D" Street from South 4th to the alley between
20 South 4th and 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday,
21 July 23, 1977 for a Street Fair. This request has the approval
22 of the Traffic Division. The Board excluded booths located
23 on the west side of South 4th Street. Mr. Anderson moved
24 for approval of this request for the Street Fair, seconded by
25 Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

27 Mr. Webb moved to accept the recommendation of Sgt. Ron
28 Williams to remove three (3) parking stalls in the first block.
29 of No. 10th Street on the east side as they restrict movement
30 of traffic entering and exiting the expanded parking
31 facilities the City has provided, seconded by Mr. Anderson
32 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

34 Mr. Anderson moved to approve the request of Sgt. Ron
35 Williams to restrict vehicle parking to a two (2) hour parking
36 zone in the 300 block of North 3rd Street on the east side,
37 seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous voice vote the motion
38 was carried.

40 Mr. Anderson moved to accept and file the Bureau of Buildings
41 report for June 1977, seconded by Mr. Webb and on unanimous
42 voice vote the motion was carried.

44 There being no further business on motion duly made, seconded
45 and passed the meeting was adjourned.
