CITY OF RICHMOND, INDIANA, JUNE 9, 1977
1 The Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Richmond,
2 Indiana, net in regular session June 9, 1977 at the hour of 9:00
3 a.m. in the. Municipal Building in said City. Mr. Meredith
4 presided with Mr.. Anderson and Mr. Webb present. The following
5 business was had, to-wit:

7 Mr. Meredith announced that he had received notification that
8 the. Dog Walk-A-Thon for Eastern Indiana Irish Setter Organization
9 representative is getting more information and will appear before
10 the Board at a later date.

12 Mr. Webb moved to approve a curb cut request from Pizza King,
13 1224 N. W. 5th to install a fifty foot (50') curb cut to replace
14 two (2) existing cuts, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous
15 voice vote the motion was carried. Pizza King is constructing
16 a new facility. This request has the approval of Traffic and
17 Engineering Departments.

19 Mr. Webb moved to approve the request from Sheriff Goslin, 703
20 South 9th Street, for a sixteen foot (16') curb cut on the south
21 side of their facility, entering into a new parking lot they
22 are constructing, seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous
23 voice vote the motion was carried. A present cut which creates
24 a traffic hazard will be closed. This request has the approval
25 of Traffic and Engineering Departments.

27 Mr. Webb moved to approve a curb cut request from Richmond
28 Water Works on the south side of S. W. G Street before you get
29 to the G Street Bridge to improve traffic to their property under
30 the bridge, seconded by Mr. Anderson'and on_una iimoi s.voice vote
31 the motion was carried.

33 Mr. Webb moved to approve the request from the Street Light
34 Committee of Common Council to install the following street lights,
35 seconded by Mr. Anderson and on unanimous voice vote the motion
36 was carried:

38 1 250 watt mercury vapor light on North "J" between 12th
39 - and 13th
40 11 250 watt mercury vapor lights on 20th Street starting
41 at Hawkins Road and continuing on North "J" to North 19th
42 Street.
43 5 250 watt mercury vapor lights on North "J" between
44 16th and 19th.

46 Mr. Webb moved to approve a.-.request from the Street Light Committee
47 of Common Council to install 1 250 watt mercury vapor light on
48 South 14th Street between "Q" and "P", seconded by Mr. Anderson
49 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

51 In the original agreement between the City and Wernle Home to
52 build a street between South "L" and what will be known as Wernle
53 Park, Wernle was to dedicate fifty feet (50') of right-of-way.
54 Since then it was decided there should be a curve-in the:street.
55 To facilitate installation of- utilities, it would, be wise to
56 take sixty. _feet (60`) of right-of-way instead of. fifty (50') .
57 An- ame ndment was presented to execute this change.

59 Mr. Anderson moved to execute the agreement, seconded by Mr. Webb
60 and on unanimous voice vote the motion was carried.

62 Mr. Meredith announced that bids will be received as advertised
63 next Thursday; however, there will be a special Board of Works
64 meeting on Friday, June 17th at 9:00 to open these bids as Mr.
65 Meredith and Mr. Anderson will be out of town next Thursday.
