RESOLUTION OF THE BOROUGH OF CARTERET, IN THE COUNTY
OF MIDDLESEX AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF REDEVELOPMENT
AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, under the New Jersey Local Redevelopment and Housing Law, N.J.S.A.
40A:12A -1 et seq, the Borough of Carteret (the `Borough ") conditionally designated 48 Leffert
Street, LLC as the redeveloper of the property known as Block 5601, Lots 10, 11, 12, and 13 on
the Borough's tax maps (the "Project Site "); and
WHEREAS, 48 Leffert Street, LLC subsequently converted changed its name and form
to 48 Leffert Street Urban Renewal, LLC ( "Leffert"); and
WHEREAS, the Borough now desires to authorize the execution of a redevelopment
agreement with Leffert for the redevelopment of the Project Site, in a form to be approved by the
Borough's Director of Law and Special Redevelopment Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Mayor and
Council of Borough of Carteret, in the County of Middlesex and the State of New Jersey, as
follows:
Section 1. The aforementioned recitals are incorporated herein as though fully set
forth at length.
Section 2. The Mayor is authorized to execute a redevelopment agreement with
�effert for the redevelopment of the Project Site, in a form to be approved by the Borough's
-)ire,ctor of Law and Special Redevelopment Counsel, and any competent party is authorized to
Ittest same.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately.
